Contamination Testing

Contamination Testing entails the identification of the contaminate, where the contaminate is sourced, and how to eliminate said contaminate. Equipment utilized for such inspections include a Scanning Electron Microscope and Fourier Tansform Infrared Spectrometer. A Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer is utilized to identify organic materials such as polymers, among many others. A Scanning Electron Microscope is utilized in determining the elements involved in a contamination. Typical inspections of this nature include analysis of metal chips/filings, particle size determination, analysis of hydraulic oils/lubricants, determination of oil contamination, among many others.
