Failure Analysis – Root Cause Analysis consists of the collection and analysis of data to determine the root cause of failure in a part. Several factors are involved in this process which include collection of facts and data comprised of operating conditions, non-destructive testing, evaluation of both mechanical and chemical properties, microscopic analysis of the metallurgical components, analysis of findings, and conclusion including recommendation on prevention from future failures. This is an essential piece of the puzzle to reduce future downtime and most importantly reduces the risk of injury to your employees.
